In centuries past women did not doubt the natural process of birth. We (women) understood the ways of the body and birth. It was part of life, like sleeping or eating. We gathered around one another in support and celebration of this milestone and rite of passage.
Modern Birth is different then those days of old. We are faced with many choices and the challenges of understanding birth in the Western world. Machines, terminologies, procedures, experts, mass media, and of course fear - all crowd our minds. Our bodies haven’t changed, the process is the same, but “we” are different. We’ve forgotten to trust.
Our classes celebrate the natural process of normal birth. Exploring how your body works in labor. Practicing comfort techniques to soothe the riggers of the birthing process. Taking time to review medical choices and alternatives. And always encouraging you to make an Informed Choices for your family.
Because when “it’s time”....
You must trust that you have the understanding and strength to let go and birth powerfully, gently and normally.
